Bride answers text message.

People have become too attached to their phones.  Don't they realize that real life is happening all around them?  It drives me nuts.  Here is an example of how it's gone too far.

I feel sorry for this dude.  Maybe he is the same way.  By the look on his face it appears that he is not impressed with this but doesn't know how to tell her to put the phone away during their wedding. He doesn't want to be rude.  I would guess that she is a controlling person and you can't tell her anything because she knows everything.  She probably picked out the colour of his vest as well.  Here is my Songresponse.

Channel 9 News Fail!

I came across this short video.  I wasn't sure what to expect and I didn't see what happened coming.  Check it out.

I think that because I was surprised is why I decided to write a song about it.

Why did the Duck Cross the road?

It may sound like a joke, but I am curious as to why the duck crossed the road and not fly like it should.  I believe that is why the chicken opted to cross the road, because it couldn't fly.  I had to watch the whole thing to see if it would make it.

 I couldn't help thinking that this should have been a chicken.  I hope that you enjoy my song about it.

Criminal Penguins.

Watching these penguins was a lot of fun.  It almost seems that they are not much different than Humans. Some work hard, and some steal.  Check out the video.

Planking

This summer, people everywhere on the internet went crazy with the fad of Planking.  What is planking?  Well thanks for asking.  It is simply this.  You lay face down.  The end.  I don't really get what's fun about it.  It seems a little silly to me.  Here is a video of some people planking.

Minivan Overloaded with 66 people in China

I came across this news clip this morning and I found it amusing.

I was always taught to stay away from men with vans that want to take you for a ride.  Perhaps this could be a lesson to china.  I decided to write a song about it.  I hope that you enjoy it.

Webcam 101 for Seniors...

I saw this video the other day and it made me smile.

People can be so funny.  She is trying to figure out how to make the webcam work and he is just messing around.  It's nice to be reminded that the senior population is not unlike some of us younger folk.  They have dirty minds as well and just like to have some fun.  Here is my song response to them.

Well, I've taken the next step.  I decided that my videos need a little more, so for this one, there is video with it instead of just a black screen.  I hope to do more like this, even though they take up more time.  I had fun putting this one together. It may be funnier if you watch mine first then the original video.  It's nice to mix things up once and a while.

A Tiny Apartment Transforms into 24 rooms.

I could not imagine living in a small space like this.  I am a little too claustrophobic.  I need space around me to feel comfortable.  They do have good use of their space.  Take a look.

I was just thinking about what would it be like to live there with my family of 6.  We would drive each other insane.  Perhaps places like this should be left for the single people.  I did like their creativity so much that I thought that they needed their own song as well. So I provided.  I hope that you enjoy it.

An Update On the Horse

Well, It appears that the video about the horse that was spooked was removed from YouTube.  So if you didn't see it, then my song doesn't make too much sense.  The video was about a lady who was on a horse drawn carriage in Central Park in New York.  The horse is spooked by something and starts to back up.  As the horse backs up, it trips on a sidewalk and falls over.  At this point the Lady starts to go crazy.  The camera is shaking and she is yelling out "run run".  Why someone would need to run at a fallen horse is beyond me.  Anyways, she continues to cry and carry on as the horse is brought to it's feet.  The reaction of this lady is way overboard which is what stuck me as funny and why I wrote the song.

Horse gets Spooked and Takes a Tumble in Central Park.

Everyone likes a nice carriage ride, right?  Well, when this horse gets spooked, it doesn't seem to go so well for the lady.

I started laughing at the Lady when she started to yell "Run, run".  It's obvious to me that this lady is definitely a city slicker and isn't around animals much.  A horse fell down.  It's fine.  Don't panic.  This video should have been named "Lady gets spooked and tries to run for it" .  I knew as soon as I saw this video, it needed a song.  I hope you enjoy it.

Alex and Liam Do Walmart

I have to be honest. I hate Walmart.  The idea of lining up to give all my money to one company seems crazy to me.  I also think that their stuff is of lower quality.  I believe for a healthy economy, buy local.  Anyways, I laughed my ass off when I saw these two Brits going through a Walmart and making fun of the things that they saw.  Their video made my day.

 Writing the song for this one was an enjoyable experience for me.  I hope that you enjoy it as well.

Old Spice Guy vs. Fabio

Today there was a competition between the Old Spice Guy and Fabio.  Here are the rules as stated by the Old Spice Guy.

Fabio could not be near as good as The "Old Spice" guy. So I decided that I needed to vote for the old spice guy.  That is why I came up with a song for him.  I drew inspiration from his commercials like these.

So best of luck to the original "Old Spice" Guy.  There is no way Fabio can beat him.  Here is my song.

3 year old Corn-Hole Prodigy

Well here is an amazing 3 year old.  Take a look.

 I think he got lucky.  I could hit the hole from that close as well.  Maybe he was hustling his Mom and Dad.  I think that his warm up definitely helped.  It was better to have his little brother out of the way.  I've never heard this game called "Corn Hole".  Why would it be called that.  What does corn have to do with this game?  I don't see corn.  Anyways I think that this kid did pretty good.  Here is my Song Response.

Crazy Marriage Proposal - Guy Falls off Building

There seems to be a lot of different ways to propose to the one you love.  Most people go with the romantic dinner and a fine restaurant and then get down on one knee.  Others do something a little crazier like this guy.

I give the guy some credit.  I don't like heights and probably would not attempt a stunt like this. At least something like this is memorable which is good for him.  She'll probably never forget it either.  One more small note, it almost appears that the drinks they are holding are there as an ad placement.  It seems they are all labels out.  Perhaps it was just a stunt for some publicity.  Either way, I think that it was a good stunt.  Here is my Song Response.

24 Hours of Changing Triplets

Well, today I am not writing a song of response to another video.  I am sharing a little bit of my personal life.  A year and a half ago, I became the father of triplets.  It has been a lot of work.  Early on, when my wife and I were running a 24 hour operation, I decided to video tape each diaper change.  I then sped up the film and this is the result.  I still get tired watching the video.  I did write the music that you hear as all the diapers get changed.  I would also like to mention that this particular day was a "light" day for diapers.  I hope that you enjoy the video.

Song Response to FAILBLOG: Getting Good Air FAIL

Happy Canada Day Everyone.  Today I am combining two of my favourite things.  Canada and FAILBLOG.

I enjoy watching videos of people failing.  Who wouldn't want to see people crash and fall and get hurt?  This video is a good example of that. I am not sure what these guy are trying to accomplish. All I know is that gravity works the same here in Canada as it does anywhere else.  Did these guys really expect something different to happen?  Maybe their goal was to get onto Failblog in the first place.  Well mission accomplished. And only one of them had to suffer scraps and stuff to get the job done.  I guess that if it turned out good, then having the Canadian Flag there would have been a good thing and what they would have done would have made Canada proud for having such awesome dare devils living in our country.  Maybe next time.

Cat gets Caught Barking by a Human and resumes Meowing

This video reminds me of an old Farside Cartoon.  The one where the cows are all standing on two legs and one calls out "car" and then they all move to four legs until the car is past.  Then they resume to standing on two legs.

There must be some truth to the idea that animals are doing things that they don't want us to know they can do.  This cat tries to cover the fact that it is barking like a dog.  It almost looks like the cat wants us to think it was "meowing" the whole time.  This got me thinking about some of the reasons that the cat is barking and doesn't want us to know why.  Perhaps it's playing a practical joke on the family dog.  That's the idea behind my song response.  If I were a cat that had the skill to impersonate a dog, this is probably what I would do.

I thought that this was a funny prank.

Not too many videos make me laugh out loud.  I bet it was frustrating not getting the shampoo to stop running down his face.  I figure that it too could use a song.  Enjoy.

There has been some speculation that this girl is an actress.  Well, I think so.  Couple of clues.  She says her name is "Debbie" and yet her user name includes the name Cara.  The other video that she posted also used the name Cara.  I think that her real name is Cara.  I also have a hard time believing that anyone can be that crazy about cats.  I don't know why two out of the three first songs I wrote have a strong cat theme.  If she's not acting, then she need to be committed.  Here is my response.

Song Response to Espinosa Erik Lambert in 18.4 Seconden!!

I have to admit, this guy did impress me a bit.

It must take a lot of "Soccer Talent" to be able to miss the goal a bunch of times in a row.  While I realize that this shows that he has great aim with his foot, I wondered, what is the point?  Does someone feel accomplished for doing something that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things?  The answer to that question is yes.  I know this because I too accomplished something that is completely useless to the world.  I wrote a song about this guy.  Check it out.

Cat Mom Hugs a Kitten

Welcome to my Blog.  This is where you can read a little bit about the song that I've created.

Let's start with the Cat Mom video.

When I first saw this video a few things came to mind.  First, why is someone video taping their cat sleeping?  Is this quality home video?  How many hours were spent taping before this cute hug was caught?  I thought that it was a waste of time.  I found it odd that a 6 second hug take place in a video that is 61 seconds long.  Did that video have to be that long for me to watch the hug?  The anticipation was killing me.  I figure the extra 55 seconds is time that I will never get back.  Here is my song response to this video.
